Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information.”
We may also collect certain Personally Identifiable Information that you voluntarily provide to us to use our Site and the funding and other services we provide (the “Services”). To use the Services, you will create an account with us and provide us with your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, and account information such as a password and username. You may also provide us with information such as your Social Security number, business information including business name, size, and type, and financial information including bank statements, credit card statements, average bank balance, personal and business credit history, payment behavior, bank account information, and tax identification number. We may also collect your business ownership information.
When we refer to “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean both Device Information and Personally Identifiable Information.
METHODS OF COLLECTING INFORMATION
We collect some information when you voluntarily provide it to us through the Site. We and our third-party service providers also use anonymous identifiers such as cookies and other technologies to collect and store certain types of information (such as click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over, hardware/software information, cookie and session ID) whenever you interact with us. We may also collect information about you from other sources to enhance our existing information and improve the accuracy of our records. This improves our ability to contact you and increases the relevance of our marketing.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use the Personal Information we collect to verify your identity, register you as a user, fulfill and manage services through the Site, communicate with you, screen for potential risk or fraud, maintain and improve the Site and our services, provide support, protect the security of our Site, conduct research and analysis, personalize content, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). We or third parties we work with may also use Device Information to help run online advertisements including retargeting ads or to identify your email address for marketing purposes. As discussed below in the “Sharing Your Personal Information” section, you may have the right to opt-out of this.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties such as lenders to help us provide the Services and use your Personal Information as described above, and to vendors who perform Site-related services on our behalf (such as email, hosting, maintenance, backup, and analysis) and produce data analytics and reports containing de-identified summaries of Personally Identifiable Information and other information that is not Personally Identifiable Information. We may also share your Personal Information to improve our business functions and if The Company is involved in a merger or sale of all or a portion of our assets.
We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, to investigate fraud, to protect your safety or the safety of others, or to otherwise protect our rights.
We do not sell Personal Information for money. Where applicable laws define the “sale” of personal data more broadly than as an exchange for money, or if it is shared with a third party for cross context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, you may have the right to opt out of the sale and/or sharing of your information here: [Add link to opt out of sharing of information.]
COOKIES AND INTERST-BASED ADVERTISING
